Anna Sahakyan, former Director of Operations for Digital Square at PATH and beloved colleague, passed away on May 22, 2022, following a battle with cancer.
Anna joined Digital Square’s global team on November 11, 2019, and quickly became indispensable. She served as co-relationship manager for USAID, advised on a wide range of operational initiatives, and oversaw transformative work for Digital Square as it grew from startup to large-scale initiative.
She was a kind and strong leader who spoke hard truths, advocated for her team, and tackled challenges head-on with commitment and grace. Anna’s leadership was critical to Digital Square’s success, and she is greatly missed.
Anna is survived by her husband John, her daughter Emma, and her two sons John and Jaden. Our deepest condolences are with Anna’s family and friends and all who knew her.
