Investing in Digital Health for Health Equity
A new policy brief co-authored by Laurie Werner, Director of the Center for Digital and Data Excellence at PATH
Digital health transformation is crucial for achieving health equity in low- and middle-income countries, yet current investments are insufficient to sustain the digital health ecosystem. Digital Square, in collaboration with Brazil’s G20 presidency, has co-authored a policy brief emphasizing strategic investments in digital health for resilient health systems. The brief outlines three key actions: increase funding for digital health as a pillar of Universal Health Coverage, promote transparency in investments, and strengthen legislative frameworks for responsible digital transformation. This initiative aims to advance health equity globally.⬤
