2023 Digital Square Strategy
The 2023 Digital Square Strategy reaffirms our existing vision and mission, updates our theory of change and metrics for measuring impact, and articulates what we believe our role is in the digital health sector. The strategy reflects the current and evolving needs of the global digital health ecosystem and outlines how we plan to address those needs through our existing and new work.
Featured approaches in the 2023 strategy include:
Increased focus on localization, ensuring our approach is: 1) inclusive of and allowing access for wider range of solution, service, and content Global Goods providers globally; and 2) locally-driven and highlighting local (or regional) expertise—allowing for country sovereignty leading to an ecosystem of choice for governments on their digital health needs.
Support for a standards-based ecosystem of choice for implementation, allowing governments and local decision-makers to define technology needs while promoting standards-based approaches to support decision-making and/or refine selected tools.
Commitment to continuous updates and improvements.
Increased focus on assessment of monitoring and impact across the digital health space.
Working through regional hubs across continents.
